The National Audience API service provides a series of standard reference and ratings data API methods to enable programmatic requests to National Television Ratings. The Nielsen Information made available through the National Audience API is based on respondent-level data, and therefore enables detailed ratings analyses for any data stream, Live through Live+35, as well as household and persons characteristics. The Nielsen Information is typically released on a next, next day schedule for rolling time shifted viewing streams up to Live+7, and a weekly schedule for data streams Live+8 through Live+35.
